Who can benefit?

​

Equine Assisted learning and activities can benefit a wide range of participants, we specialize in working with children on the autistic spectrum and with special educational needs or disabilities however we work with many other adults and children a well.

We offer sessions to;

​

Adults – mental health issues, addiction recovery, autism spectrum, learning difficulties, families in crisis and homeless and anyone wanting to experience being outdoors and being at one with these beautiful animals.

Young People – young people with anxiety or depression (including problems with mainstream school), learning difficulties, autism spectrum, at risk of offending, challenging behavior, teenagers in care, young carers, traveling community.

The Key benefits from attending sessions with us will include enjoyment of learning new skills, increased confidence, a feeling of belonging and working as a team, better communication skills, improvement in concentration and focus, relaxation, connection with nature, empathy towards other living beings, improvement in other physical skills, improved relationship skills and empowerment through choice.

Clients are usually referred by social workers, GP’s, schools, parents or other family members or self-referred.  Please visit the contact us page and email Jenny for an Application and Referral form or for any more information regarding the referral process.

We currently work with the Children and Young People, Strategy and Commissioning People and Communities-Bath and North East Somerset Council, SEND at Saint Gregory's School in Bath, South Gloucestershire Council, Supported Independence and Young Carers Bristol.

Outcomes from EAL sessions include return to work or voluntary skills, increased quality of life, greater participation in wider community, improved participation in education, a feeling of connection with nature and improved relationships with family and community, also reduced stress and anxiety levels – please see testimonial page for more info
